Your age will let you know how long you should hold each stretch that you are doing. For those under the age of 40, the stretch should be held for about 30 seconds. For people over the age of 40, your stretches should be at least 60 seconds long. Doing this helps you avoid muscle injuries.
Be sure to wipe down equipment before and after using it. The person, or people, before you probably left a few germs. By wiping the equipment down before using it, you are protecting yourself from getting sick while trying to achieve your fitness goals.
