Bring a friend with you on your runs. Exercising with a friend provides substantial motivation, especially when they are in better shape then you are. This person can help you as a role model. Since they are more fit, you can aspire to get to their level. You will see what a person who is faster and fitter than you looks like, rather than being a vague notion in your mind. You will be inspired to push yourself harder, with the eventual goal of beating that person someday.
Exercise needs to be a top priority. Compare the importance of exercising to the importance of taking a shower every day,
