Take the entire fruit, including skin or peels and juice it. The peels and skins of fruit include many healthy ingredients such as nutrients, fiber and antioxidants. Apples have a higher concentration of flavonoids in their skin than are contained in the whole rest of the fruit. The exceptions to this are oranges and grapefruits. You should not use the peel of these fruits. There are unhealthy substances to be found in the peels of these fruits, and they are often treated with chemical pesticides.
