Food as a reward is not the best nutritional habit to instill in your child. Try offering attention instead. Do not give them pie and ice cream, give them some attention. Other foods besides sweets can be offered as rewards for reinforcing positive behavior. Only offering sweets as a reward can make children think that all other foods are inferior.
When you change the way you eat, you will want to consume less meat and more veggies or fruit. Even though meat is a good source of energy-boosting protein, always treat this product like it is a side dish and not your main entree.
