Highly processed foods, like those that have trans fats, should be avoided. Eating foods with a lot of trans fat can cause heart disease down the road. Trans fats hit your body with a two-fisted attack: first, they raise your bad cholesterol (LDL) levels, and then they lower your good cholesterol (HDL) levels.
